The flagship apprenticeship conference of National Apprenticeship Week

Taking place during National Apprenticeship Week (16 to 18 March 2016) and in partnership with the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills, (BIS), the conference and exhibition will support apprenticeship providers, employers and assessment bodies during a time of major reform and uncertainty. The conference will offer a mixture of key note speeches from Government Ministers and Shadow Cabinet members, workshops from assessment bodies and Trailblazer groups to in-depth practical sessions with Nick Linford, author of the Complete Guide to Funding Apprenticeships, and other technical specialists. AAC2016 is a not to be missed three day policy and practice conference.

About the conference
On the back of the tremendous success of AAC 2015, next year’s conference is set to be our biggest conference and exhibition yet. Over three days at Birmingham’s International Convention Centre, AAC2016 will once again provide an unprecedented opportunity for those involved with the delivery of apprenticeships to come together to learn, share and debate during a time of major reform.
Topics covered
Alongside keynote speeches from senior government ministers and politicians, the conference will also include a variety of in-depth practical and policy training workshops, practical sessions and Q&A opportunities. Topics covered will include: • The latest information on the introduction of an apprenticeship voucher and levy • Update on the Trailblazer apprenticeship funding pilot • Standards specific business critical information on the operational rules for delivery and assessment • Detail of how the Skills Funding Agency is switching from apprenticeship frameworks to the new standards • How apprenticeship provider and employer payment and incentive processes are working • Delivering and funding English and maths as part of new standards • how best to use Traineeships as a pre-apprenticeship programme and much more.
Who should attend?
The conference is designed for prime providers and subcontractors involved with the delivery of apprenticeships in England. Trailblazer employers and assessment organisations will also be in attendance and will benefit. So all training providers, colleges, employers, assessment bodies, policy makers and consultants who want to maintain a comprehensive understanding of the latest apprenticeship developments in the skills sector should attend. This includes: Chairs, Chief Executives, Managing Directors and other senior executives from: Training providers, Further Education Colleges, Employers, Awarding organisations, Third Sector and Voluntary Sector Providers, Sector Skills Councils/Sector bodies, Regional/Local Provider Networks, Government Departments/Executive agencies, DWP funded Providers, County Councils/Local Authorities and Membership Organisations.
